The SCBO Mission Council presents the 2024-2025 proposed budget. Below you will find some highlights for your consideration:
LifeWise Ministries (New)
Protected by a Supreme Court ruling, LifeWise works with public schools to integrate a Bible class into their weekly class schedule. The LifeWise plug-and-play model is flexible so that any community can offer Bible education to their public-school students during school hours. Many SCBO churches are already working to help multiply and mobilize LifeWise across the Buckeye State.
Pastoral Counseling / Benevolence (New)
With the rising rate of pastoral leaders facing burnout and mental health challenges, these allocated funds will help cooperating SCBO pastors receive biblical counseling assistance.
Church Planter Development (New)
While God continues to bless us with SEND Ohio church planters to help us reach the lost here in the Buckeye State, we must continue to invest in them spiritually and practically to help them grow as leaders in their home and local church.
Mission Dignity (Increase)
To financially help with those who have served the Lord in ministry but live in poverty, we will partner with Guidestone to offer a 13th check to qualified recipients.
CampUCAN (Increase)
Young men from urban areas across Ohio come together for several days and many come from broken homes and a life of poverty. This week helps them hear the Gospel and experience mentorship from Godly leaders.
Disaster Relief (Increase)
As calamities across Ohio and the United States increase, so do the opportunities to serve and share the Gospel. Our Ohio DR teams were deployed at a record pace this year and we believe that will only continue.
Associational Support (Increase)
The SCBO continues to offer financial support to our associations not only for the annual retreat, but also throughout the year for strategies that need assistance to implement.
COLA (Increase)
There is a 3% cost of living adjustment to the SCBO staff in this proposed budget.
Cooperative Program (Increase)
There is a 1% increase in the Cooperative Program allocation of the budget.
