Meet Ryan Strother
Ryan has been where you are, with 15+ years in the pulpit, the weight of ministry, and all the joy and hard days that come with it.
A third generation pastor who served churches in Maryland and Ohio before becoming a state convention executive director in Indiana, he joined the SCBO in 2025 with a big heart to invest in pastors and churches. He and his wife Nikki have five children, including children who joined their family through adoption.

SCBO Counseling
We believe in supporting our ministers and their families through biblical counseling. This service is available for paid staff ministers and their immediate family members from cooperating SCBO churches. Whether you're part-time or full-time, if you're in a ministry staff position, we're glad to partner with you in this way.
We understand that ministry can be challenging, and life often throws curveballs our way. It's okay to seek help and support when you're facing struggles. We also know that it's tough to lead when your family is going through hard times, which is why we also offer counseling for the immediate family members of paid staff ministers. Together, we can build healthier church leaders and, in turn, healthier churches!
Our strategy is two-fold: We're excited to partner with Fieldstone Counseling, an existing biblical counseling center, and to contract with individual ACBC certified counselors in SCBO churches. This collaboration allows us to offer a wider range of options for you.
