VBS Leaders Excited by Vacation Bible School Institute
Hello Galactic Starveyors! It’s that time of year again…time to begin preparing for Vacation Bible School (VBS)! This year’s theme is “Galactic Starveyors.” Our motto is “Searching the Visible – Discovering the Invisible,” which is based off our theme verse Colossians 1:15-16.
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers, or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him.”
This year’s Vacation Bible School Institute (VBSI) was held on Saturday, March 4th, at Violet Baptist Church in Pickerington, Ohio. Over 300 attendees, including staff and children’s choir, were immersed in searching the visible and discovering the invisible. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and fun as core curriculum was presented, tips and techniques were shared, the theme music and movements were taught, crafts, decorations, snacks, recreation…and so much more was delivered by your Ohio VBS Team. Topping it off, the on-site LifeWay Bookstore made viewing the material and purchasing on-the-spot ideal. What a fun and exciting day of learning and fellowship!
If you were unable to attend VBSI, please consider attending one of the two VBS Clinics that will take place in April. For more information about these clinics visit our website at SCBO.org/VBS.
The Bible Teaching and Leadership Resource Group are always available to assist you with any of your VBS needs. We want to help you make your VBS a success. Don’t hesitate to contact our office at (614) 601-6826 and ask for Wendy.
