Demographics Data for Churches
Many SCBO churches and church plants utilize demographic information to gain insights about the people and communities in close proximity to their ministries.
Specialized reports and maps can be generated from numerous sources. Some of these resources are free to use, while others are paid services offering full-service packages for churches. Below is a brief list of some of the most frequently used demographics providers in Ohio:
NAMB
The North American Mission Board has a demographics request page free for church use. Simply provide details on the area and they will provide the information you need within just a few days. You can download a sample of a recent report here.
US CENSUS BUREAU
Make sure to “browse data sets” in order to view information about age, education, race, and specific country of origin.
ARDA
This is the Association of Religion Data Archives for the U.S. and will give you valuable information on the religious life of a community by zip code, city, and state.
RELIGIOUS LANDSCAPE STUDY
