Church Planting Episode 7: Healthy Church Planting with Matt Smethurst

Matt Smethurst, pastor of River City Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, shares his journey from college ministry and the mission field to planting a church alongside a team sent from Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville. In this episode, we talk about the difference between elders and deacons, why a new church doesn't have to be a novel church, partnering with other gospel-preaching churches in your city, guarding your own heart in ministry, and why church planters can trust the Word to do the work.
