Messengers are individual church members elected to represent their church in business matters at the SCBO Annual Meeting.
How to register as a Messenger:
Online Registration will begin October 1. The pastor, church clerk, or treasurer will be able to register online at that time. Return to this page for the official registraiton link October, 2024. Take advantage of this option to avoid the lines and hurry on event day. Or… you may still choose to bring a physical copy of the enclosed Messenger Card with you to the Annual Meeting. Each approved Messenger will receive a ballot and the Book of Reports on Tuesday, November 12.

The SCBO Resolutions Committee will be accepting resolutions for consideration until October 14. Proposed resolutions may be submitted to the committee via email at resolutions@scbo.org.
Numerous hotels and other types of lodging are available in the New Albany area and Northeast corner of Columbus. There is no official conference hotel - attendees may choose to stay overnight anywhere in the vicinity.

Annuel Celebration Featured Speakers
ADAM PURSEL
Born and raised in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Adam and his wife, Molly, returned to his home town in 2012. By 2013 they had established a new church plant which initially met in a local movie theater. Today, Lifepoint Church continues to grow and thrive with Adam serving as the Lead Pastor.
Adam and Molly were married in July of 2007. They are blessed with 4 kids – 2 sons and 2 daughters.
FREDERICK CLEMENT, Sr.
Frederick Clement Sr. is a Church Planter and Pastor of One Family Church in Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Frederick has been married for 10 years to his wife Eikiala Clement, and together they have four sons, Frederick Jr., Malachi, Anthony, and Gabriel. Pastor Frederick has nearly 10 years of ministry experience and has served in a variety of capacities in the local church. After serving as a deacon and then interim pastor, Frederick pursued his calling in church planting and enrolled in the North American Mission Board in 2019, and received his certification in church planting in 2020.
Pastor Frederick is passionate about teaching God’s Word, casting vision, and making disciples. As a bivocational pastor, Frederick and Eikiala work tirelessly to shepherd the congregation of One Family Church.
JEREMY WESTBROOK
Jeremy Westbrook has served as the Executive Director-Treasurer of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio since 2021. A native of Tennessee, Dr. Westbrook first came to Ohio in 2008 to plant Living Hope Church in Marysville, Ohio, before accepting positions as the Senior Associate Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Clearwater, Florida, and as Lead Missional Strategist of the Suncoast Baptist Association. He is a graduate of the Doctor of Ministry program at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, and is widely sought as a clinician and speaker.
Jeremy returned to Ohio in the fall of 2021 bringing a clear vision for the future of Southern Baptist work through the local church there. He currently resides near Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children.
