SCBO Hosts First COVID-19 Information Exchange via Webinar

On Friday March 20 the State Convention of Baptists hosted the first gathering of Ohio pastors and leaders to address the changing social dynamics, ongoing ministries, and other preparations taking place during the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19.  Utilizing the Zoom Webinar platform allowed remote participants to join.  Over 50 individuals were present for the live 9am event which featured SCBO staff and other Ohio pastors and ministry leaders as contributors.

This online format meeting dubbed the 'SCBO Covid-19 Information Exchange' was well received.  Many participants were encouraged while also gaining insight into practical resources, online tools, and faith-based approaches to reach out to their community.

SCBO leaders indicated that another similar event was likely to take place again in the coming days. The hope at that time will be to pass along new, up-to-date information and to expand the number of individuals engaged and encouraged through the webinar.

The March 20 meeting was captured and recorded for those unable to attend.  Use the provided button to view the recorded portion of the meeting via the Zoom On-demand service.  Additional details and many of the resources discussed during the webinar can also be found at the SCBO's dedicated webpage at www.scbo.org/COVID.
