Ohio Churches Support DR Volunteers
Southern Baptists around the world are asked to stop for a few minutes on Sunday, November 4, and recognize their Convention Disaster Relief Volunteers. These volunteers represent Jesus every time they respond to a disaster by showing His compassion in time of need.
During the most recent hurricane responses, Ohio Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SCBODR) have responded to North Carolina by sending a flood recovery team and a chain saw team. Two deliveries of donated items, including approximately $2,000.00 in gift cards have also been delivered to a warehouse in Washington, North Carolina. A team of ten (10), flood recovery team members are headed for Panama City, Florida on November 3, to serve for a week.
Several churches and individuals have contributed to the response with in-kind donations and monetary gifts. These are very much appreciated and are in support of the following numbers reported nationwide through October 26:

We are asking your church to show the video clip, recognize volunteers from your congregation, pray for the ministry, and if so inclined, take a special offering to assist the work of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio Disaster Relief Ministry. Donations can be mailed to the state office or made electronically.
