Ohio Disaster Relief travels to many places around the world to help those affected by disaster. Currently, we cover Western Europe which includes: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
In 2022, Ohio Disaster Relief partnered with Louisiana Disaster Relief to help churches who are ministering to Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Teams were sent for several months until the need was stable. The goal is not to start new things around the world, but to help churches meet the disaster challenges they face.
International DR teams are comprised of current Ohio DR members. If space is available, others are recruited, but they will have to be credentialed in Ohio DR before they can deploy. Unlike a domestic DR deployment, an international deployment will involve the participant to raise much of the necessary funds to deploy. There are small grants available and the potential for Ohio Dr or Send Relief to cover part of the travel costs.
For 2023, OHDR is planning a training trip to Athens, Greece and a potential deployment to Turkey.
