Church Planters and Wives Gather for the Church Planter Forum

Church Planters and Wives Gather for the Church Planter Forum

Twenty-one church planters and fifteen of their wives gathered at Dublin Baptist Church for the annual Church Planter Forum on May 9-10.  The forum offers opportunity for planters from across the state to network with one another and encourage one another.

Steve Renfrow, Associational Missionary for Southwestern Baptist Association, led devotions each morning from Ezekiel 37 which helped all listen to God.  Dan Ghramm, pastor of Gateway Church in Ridgeville, led a breakout session on Listening to Your Family.  Steve Long, Associational Missionary and Church Planting Catalyst for Northwest Ohio Baptist Association, utilized a chapter from Clark’s book Evangelism as Exiles to help with dialogue about Listening as Exiles.  Bruce Smith, Executive Director and SCBO church planting leader, facilitated breakout discussions on Listening to Your Church.  Wives gathered in breakouts with Charlotte Barbo, administrative assistant for SCBO church planting, to considering Hearing and Listening.

The Church Planter Forum is organized by the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio in partnership with the North American Mission Board.

Edwin Okai, pastor of Dominion Firehouse Chapel in Cincinnati, shared during one of the breakouts.

Wives gathered with Charlotte Barbo for fellowship and discussion of Hearing and Listening.

During the celebration of sharing about ministries, Samantha and Jason Williams tell a little of what is happening at Church in the Wild in Westerville.

Josh and Kari Ortega related what God is doing at H2O Church, Wright State.
