Flooding & Ice Affect Ironton, Ohio - March 2021

Strong storms stretched acrose Southern Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia causing widespread flooding and loss of electicity. The storm came through at the end of February 2021, but the devastation was felt for weeks to come. Ohio Disaster Relief responded by sending a 21 person team consisting of chainsaw, chaplain, and food service teams the week of March 1. A second deployment of chainsaw, chaplain, and food service team was sent the week of March 22. Teams worked to clear roadways, remove trees from homes and provide spiritual support to homeowners.
