New Hope Baptist church in Loveland has been incorporating lessons from a “Cooperative Program Missions Mix Kit” during our “Kids Zone”; this is our children’s worship service for 1st through 6th graders.  The lessons and teaching aids from this kit have provided an excellent opportunity for kids to learn about and experience missions.  Portions of the kit were included with our Lottie Moon lessons in November and December.  Four of our children portrayed missionaries from different parts of the world during our December mission lesson, using costume accessories from the kit.  There is enough material in the kit to present several teaching sessions; other parts of the kit were used in January and will be used in upcoming months.  The lessons teach children solid biblical principles about God’s mission and how He uses missionaries to accomplish His purpose.

The “Missions Mix Kit” has been an excellent tool for introducing missions’ education to our children, setting a pattern for on-going missions’ learning.  We look forward to exploring other Missions Mix Kits in the months to come.  Our sincere appreciation goes out to the Women’s Missions and Ministries Resource Group for developing this teaching tool and for their commitment to educating everyone about missions!
