Assess – Affirm – Adjust:

Ohio Churches Complete Transformational Church Discovery Retreats

Transformation begins with assessment. Before you can get to where you want to go, you have to know where you are. The Transformational Church Assessment Tool (TCAT) is a powerful online tool to help quickly assess where your church is strong now and areas that may need development. The report will gauge the perceptions of your church members concerning each of the seven Transformational Church elements: missionary mentality, vibrant leadership, relational intentionality, prayerful dependence, worship, community, and mission.

Many churches find it valuable to have a set of ‘outside eyes and ears’ to guide them through the process. Ohio has several trained Transformational Church consultants to help you take the next steps. This spring three Ohio churches have followed up the TCAT with the Transformational Church Discovery Retreat – Northside, Millersburg (Todd Hartley, pastor); FBC Circleville (Billy Barbo, pastor); and Violet, Pickerington (Rick Williams, pastor). As a result, they have identified three to five strategic initiatives and key resources for each strategy.

Transformational Church is not a new program or a one-size-fits-all strategy, or even a formula for immediate results. Rather, it is an initiative designed to help churches examine where they are and how the Father is working and to make the necessary adjustments in order to more fully join in His mission. Assess – Affirm – Adjust.
