Pastor Richard Donovan Marks 50 Years in the Ministry

A good time was had by all when on September 13, 2009, Fairview Baptist Church held a special dinner and program to celebrate Pastor Donovan's 50th anniversary as a pastor in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. The celebration was a total surprise to Pastor Donovan which included family, friends and church members. After dinner the celebration moved to the worship center for a program that included special musical selections of some of the Pastor's favorite hymns, a video program depicting him and his wife, Maxine's ministry over the last 50 years with special messages from the congregation, a special commemorative plaque, a beautiful poem written for the occasion and letters of congratulation from Bobby McFalls and Charles Stanley. Early in their ministries, Pastors Donovan, McFalls and Stanley would meet weekly for prayer.
